PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Current Studios partnered with Clorox on an exciting project: the "Cough and Sneeze Detection" beta device, designed to help spot potential illness indicators in classrooms. With health in mind, Clorox aimed to create a tool that could detect signs of illness, like fevers, coughs, and sneezes, in real-time, empowering schools to take preventive measures. How It Works: The beta device, placed at the front of the classroom, relies on thermal analysis and Machine Learning. It passively monitors temperature, coughs, and sneezes. A custom Machine Learning algorithm, drawing from a library of classroom sounds, identifies coughs and sneezes based on their unique frequencies and amplitude, logging them as "hits." Importantly, no classroom audio is recorded; instead, all sounds are transformed into visual representations. This innovative device provides schools with vital, up-to-the-minute information to make informed decisions about illness prevention, promoting a healthier learning environment without compromising privacy.
