Verizon, Multiplayer AR Learning Experience

Project Description

Shared AR Education (5G)

This interactive experience educates students on the earths ocean and fresh water ecosystems and the life they support. Teachers select from several underwater environments that transfer the classroom to an underwater habitat in augmented reality. Students are able to create their own custom fish, choosing the attributes of the fishes shape and biology that they think will help it best survive in the selected underwater environment. The AR fish are then released into the classroom at which point, students can monitor their fishes movement while seeing all the other fish from other classmates - a true shared augmented reality experience. The fish respond based on the environment, while the teacher is able to track progress and guide students on their exploration.
