Coors Banquet wanted to give the opportunity for Reno residents to participate in the Reno Rodeo from the comfort of their own mobile device. Current worked with Leo Burnett to build a web-based augmented reality experience where users raced to tap the randomized buttons in order to keep their bull rider holding onto the bucking bull for as long as possible. Users had the opportunity to play within their camera feed and place the game in their real environments or play on an animated Reno Rodeo background. After being bucked from the bull, users were ranked on a leaderboard of all users and provided a shareable photo of their bull ride to post to any social media platform enticing friends to beat their time.
